Your wedding day will be one of the most memorable days of your life. We will ensure that the celebration of your marriage at Peterson House with your family and friends in beautiful surroundings, with a welcoming atmosphere, great food and wine and friendly but attentive service will be a completely professionally run event allowing you to simply relax and enjoy your dream turn into reality.

Peterson House is located at the gateway to the Hunter Valley Wine Country and is less than a two-hour drive from the center of Sydney. The property encompasses the Cellar Door, specialising in sparkling wines, and the Magnum Restaurant.

The very attractive award winning building is structured from sandstone, enormous beams of recycled timber and iron with stone and polished timber floors. The sweeping verandahs boast panoramic views over the vineyards. The house is surrounded by charming yet vibrant cottage gardens, picturesque ponds with a jetty and rolling hills. Guests can enjoy pre-reception drinks and mingle in the grounds, on the verandah or in the cellar door before being seated for the reception.

The Gardens at Peterson House provide an ideal setting for the ceremony and if you would like to use our beautiful grounds for your wedding ceremony a site fee will apply. Pre-reception drinks and canapés may be served on the Verandah at Peterson House or in the Cellar Door Tasting Area.

The Magnum Restaurant can accommodate up to 110 guests for a seated formal reception. We use a mix of round and oblong tables seating a maximum of 10 guests. Our minimum numbers are 20 guests. Our table linen is white damask and we use the good quality glassware and white china.
