Marie-Chantal graduated from the University of W.A. with a B.Mus.1st Class Honours and subsequently studied in Milan, Italy, graduating from the G.Verdi Conservatorium in harp performance. In addition to the harp she also studied singing, first with her father in Perth, a well-known opera singer himself, and later at the La Scala Opera School in Italy.

Since returning to Australia in 1989 she has continued singing and working as a freelance harpist in Sydney, playing with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra (including their European and Asian Tours) and the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra. She has also worked with other major orchestras such as WA, Melbourne, Adelaide and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras, and semi-professional and amateur orchestras such as Willoughby and Hunter Orchestras. She is the harpist of the newly formed Wollongong Symphony Orchestra.

As well as orchestral engagements Marie-Chantal has played for numerous functions such as weddings, cocktails, receptions, promotions at David Jones and Grace Bros, all at various locations, be it 5* hotels (eg. Intercontinental, Park-Hyatt, Ritz-Carlton), restaurants, private homes or gardens.

Her repertoire covers Classical (15th to 20th centuries), Traditional and light pop music, playing solo or in ensembles.
