At Cakes Plus, all our cakes are homemade and baked from scratch using only the best quality, freshest ingredients in recipes handed down from generation to generation.

In addition to baking and decorating quality wedding cakes for “normal” dietary requirements and catering for your likes and dislikes we also specialise in wedding cakes for couples with special dietary requirements.

Great tasting cakes free from wheat and gluten, maize, dairy and lactose, eggs and nuts that can be enjoyed by everyone, are all possible. So if you are a Coeliac, a diabetic, a vegan, or if you have particular dietary requirements then it’s likely we can bake and decorate a cake a cake for you that will be enjoyed by all your guests.

With over 30 years experience baking, designing and decorating cakes Carol Medcalf left the corporate environment in 2004 to follow her passion of baking and decorating beautiful cakes. She will work with you to design your dream cake for your special day. Carol is adept at, and enjoys, making a wide range or hand made sugar flowers, pearls, ribbons and swags and is able to custom make a wide range of cake toppers to embellish your wedding cake. Traditional, novelty, simple or intricate, no job is too big or too small.

Your design choice is huge, being limited only by your imagination; your budget; and what Carol would (rarely) decide is just not possible! You can choose from her photograph album, from her extensive range of cake books and magazines, from illustrations you find on the internet, or Carol can help you design exactly the cake you had in mind.
